one vote for Ohlins here but I know nothing of Wilbers. The best you know is the best you've ridden.![]()

I'll post a vote for Penske. I've been running one for several years and it's been spectacular.
Jim
I've owned both for the Blackbird.... of the two, Ohlins has my vote.
As others have mentioned, Penske gets some very high marks, and is less than the Ohlins. If I were buying today, I'd likely go with Penske.
In the end, you probably can't go too wrong with any of these. Wilbers seems to have an issue getting their spring rate correct, otherwise, it's a pretty fine shock for the money.

So, if I were looking to score a Penske, where would I go?
Best price I found when I got mine was from Lindemann. Plus, he is a wealth of information when you talk to him.

You might check with Traxxion Dynamics too. They offer several different configurations and prices.

Didn't Wilbers have some problems with leaking seals? Seems I saw some complaints a year or so ago.
BTW, the Penske from Lindemann is good but $$$. He will put the proper spring on it for your wieght and riding style.
You could also check with NCRick, a member here who doesn't post to often.
He owns Cogent Dynamics, outside of Ashville NC, and helped me a bunch on my front suspension and is currently manufacturing custom rear shocks. I'm waiting for 1 for my BB right now. He is also a dealer for RaceTech, Ohlins, Penske, etc. Real good guy and very helpfull with custom setups...Hank
I just installed a Penske, remote, adjustable, $750.00 from Triple Digets. The other site. I very pleased with the set up. Built for my weight. the service was excellent!!!!!!!!!! Arrived at my front door via US post/Canadian post. I also did the forks springs. It probly has to be "fine tuned" but she a new bike now.
