having not lived in TX in years how late in the year can you ride in CenTex?

I have ridden in November, December, January, and Febraury. Riding in this time of the year is usually planned, like the DAY before. Any planning any further out than that, and you may have rain, sleet, snow, or ice, and NONE of those are any fun to ride in.

i'm from El Paso, Tx. the weather is great here year around! even on the coldest days, it still good to ride, even on the hottest it's not that bad (i used to live in phoenix for a while, so it's pretty cool here)
my brother lives in Austin... but he rides a ninja250  i'm trying to sell him my magna so he can have something decent...
lol

Well I get home in mid October and want the weather to be stable enough to get some rides in.

May be warm, may be cool, but shouldn't be too extreme one way or the other.

I'm in NW San Antonio, not to be confused with NW of San Antonio. I got back from Baghdad in April. Whatcha doin' over there if you can say? We should get the SA folks together for an evening at Specht's when you get back.

Be sure to send out some smoke signals when you get back and well do a little welcome home ride.
BTW... We can pretty much ride all year except for the artic cold fronts and really wet stuff and ice. Im a wuss.

Well I bought the bike over the weekend. It is sitting in a storage building just north of Houston. I am going to fly down around the 23rd of October to pick it up and ride it back to Killeen. If anyone is near the north side of Houston we can link up for a Hooter's  lunch and you can escort me out of town as I alway get lost in H-town. |
