Well its official for me. I will be in the Roanoke area for these two days. Thursday to travel up and Sunday to come back home. Whatever else happens is up in the air. I have some friends riding down from Buffalo to DC on Thursday. Then they will traval to the west side on Friday. Most likely meet up with them sometime Friday. Then not sure what is happening for Saturday. But curves are on my mind.

Lemme know where you decide to rummage around - If my schedule permits, I'll tag along.

Definatly going south to run 16 outta Tazewell.

I rode up to Seneca Rocks, WV for a moto-camping gathering back in mid-May. I rode The Snake (421 between Bristol and Mountain City, TN) and camped in Shady Valley, TN, then up the next morning and rode up to Damascus, VA, east on 58 to 16 all the way up to Tazewell. G-R-E-A-T run!!!! I had an absolute blast and the countryside is beautiful. I will tell ya that a lot of the turns had gravel so be on your toes, but you should have a great time riding in that area.

I'm East of you - just off 460 in the Bonsack area. And for the record, don't feel bad....I just bought it last month. But now I get to buy a few new parts - had a jackass back into it last week, knocked it over, and left. Should get the insurance check tomorow. That's a whole other story in itself....

When my schedule lightens up a bit, I'll give you a ring. Weekends are busy right now.

Got the insurance check today, and promply ordered $1100 worth of plastic. Now if it would just get here tomorrow

Be leaving in about an hour or so to head up there. Should be in hopefully before dark. Unload the bike and have dinner. Be riding tomorrow in the am locally most likely.

Meeting at the Franklin Diner in Boons Mill at 8am on Saturday. Hope to see a person or two. I guess the plan is the Blue Ridge to 16. Then 16 over to whereever it ends. Then work back towards the house. 400 miles today. Went up and hit 250. That was a fun road.

Well sorry we couldn't get together for a ride. I hit about 800 miles between the two days I was there. Some awesome roads. Hopefully another time when I can make it up.
