"After careful consideration, in order to preserve our status as one of the premiere communities for information, technical help, and the joys of Honda Super Blackbird ownership, it has been decided that a paradigm shift in policy enforcement must occur to preserve the integrity of this board".Guys and Girls,
There has been an increasing occurrence of threads moving away from the original topic.
Can everybody please make an effort to keep all of their posts inline with the original topic.
If you have a question or comments that do not fall into an existing thread, then please feel free to create a new one, and if the moderators or administrators feel that a post needs to be in its own thread, then please understand that your post is being split into a new thread for a reason. This goes the same for posts that are deleted for being off topic. We, as the moderators and administrators of this group, do not like deleting posts, but in trying to keep this forum organised, have to take this course of action at times. There is no point in getting upset with us for this, it will make no difference to the outcome.
We are trying to run this group with as little intervention as possible, and you assistance in this matter will help us all greatly in this matter.
Thanks for your understanding.
On behalf of the mod and admin team,

In an attempt to do this, a more aggressive and consistent stance will be taken by the moderation team, to curtail off-topic and unrelated post in technical or serious-topic threads. While we realize there will be, and should be, in the opinion of many, joking and playful banter, in the not-so-serious threads, where we can go in and have some fun(after all, this is still a fun and informative forum), we should not let the playful banter turn into the focus of a particular thread. We have many "threads about nothing in particular", where we can joke and banter all day long, but should not neccessarily spill over into other folks serious threads. And then there is the "back room" where what we say cannot be seen by the general public.
We as mods are not innocent here either; we have gotten caught up occasionally as well. It applies to all.
It seems that a lot of threads wind up being hijacked, usually unintentional we're sure, but hijacked none the less. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's introductions, general questions, or serious topics, they end up having a lot of joking, off-topic jibing and banter. There is no problem with general banter inside a thread, but when it derails the topic time and time again, it becomes a problem.
We will begin to delete--without exception--any posts that are not on target within a particularly serious or technical thread. For not-so-serious threads, on-topic banter is certainly okay, we will only prune, so as it does not derail the subject and becomes the focus of the thread. Please bear with us as we walk this potentially fine line.
Again, this is not a draconian effort to change the rules, be killjoys, or the fun police, but some type of order must be had; and to that end, consider this enforcement of the rules more, an effort to maintain the integrity of our board and the interests of all members.
