How do you put the thumbnails within the post though?
Attach your images normally, move to the spot within your post where you want it to show, then click the little Down Arrow beside the Paperclip (Attachment) icon on the message editor, then choose the image you want to insert.
Well, I've developed two vBulletin sites, go to vBulletin.com for support and the community forum, and rarely observe or note any angst with mouse over previews. And fer sure, of the 14 vBulletin driven motorcycle sites I visit and/or work at, this is the only one determining it to be a nuisance. I mean, NO ONE at these sites whines about it.
We can just agree to disagree. I'm just telling you my experience, explaining the way things are configured here, and my reasoning for configuring them that way.
Of course, you are free to configure the sites you set up any way you choose.
Agree!
I'm in no way attempting an arguement, but if people indicate they want something a certain way, are you going to provide it? Or are you going to go a way that you want (I don't mean format, I mean extras and nicities).
Again, no arguement intended, I just want to know whether people asking for something would get a result or if it's not worth the effort.
It depends on if it will adversely affect the site, or the experience of other users.
Mikey,
I think the answer to your question is better answered by checking out all the changes and work put into the site over this past weekend. A number of suggestions have been made in the past couple of weeks with the site only being in existance alittle longet than that as well and many changes have been made that i have seen including one suggestion that I asked for.
It appears, I may be wrong here, that you have an issue with the image posting procedure ? I personally would vote to keep it the way it is as over-size images are common place on many sites and I prefer not to have to deal with them here. I like the thunbnails so that I can get a quick view to determine whether I want to even take the time to open it or just skip it and move on if it does not interest me.
just my opinion
I like it here
Thank for the insight John, but actually it wasn't any specific part that I had issue. I was more curious on what is done when I HAVE issues. Whether the management is going to be approachable or if they are going to state that it is the way they want it and I can just deal with it.
It's been clarified that things are changed as people show interest in them being changed, so now I feel that management is approachable. This is good :]
Good that you feel mgt is approachable - in my observations, they are exactly that. If you look at the issue Sfarson had, he wanted to see thread previews in a pop-up, and Conq obliged. Albeit, he also gave direction on how to turn it off for those who find it annoying (as I do). I also find it annoying having to scroll right and left to read text because images are so large that they screw up the layout - read: I like the inline thumbnail posting.
As John pointed out, suggestions and solutions have been made and will probably continue to be made as this site grows and matures.

I truely believe that Conq and Warchild are both very dedicated individuals and are diffinently Not on a power trip or anything like that, IMO
Many changes have been made since the site was opened and alot of work has been put into this place. It seems to be more dedicated to the BlackBird, itself and less focused on the personal stuff.
I kind of think of this place a more serious place for the Wrenchheads and help for the interested non-wrenchheads so to speak but then that is just my own personal observation.
