Site Rules

It is not our intent at CBRXX.com to have a rigidly controlled and moderated forum, but neither will we allow our virtual house to fall prey to behavior that isn't appropriate for the intent of this forum.

And that intent is simply this: CBRXX.com is a forum to discuss the Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird, and the issues surrounding the Blackbird community. You may liken this forum to your favorite corner tavern, where you can have a beer with your virtual buds, and discuss motorcycles in general, and the Blackbird in particular.

Given the above, these few rules we do insist upon are mostly just common sense.

Site Rules:
  1. Do not post or link to any material which is exceedingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, racist, harassing, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any form of solicitation. This includes images and avatars!
  2. Do not post or link to any sexually suggestive, nude, partial nude, adult, or questionable images or videos. This includes avatars! This site is viewed by a wide variety of people, in a wide variety of locations, so we need to keep it reasonably clean.
  3. We do have a private forum (The Back Room) that is not viewable to the public, and even members must "join" to view the content. If you want to vent on a subject, but don't want your words out in the public domain for all to see, this is where you should post it. However, all site rules still apply.
  4. Do not post or link to any political, moral or religious topics; they always lead to arguments and bad feelings between members. There are many blogs and forums online that cater to those specific topics, so please take those discussions elsewhere. However, political discussions specifically dealing with pending motorcycle legislation, regulation, and laws are allowable. This includes images and avatars!
  5. We have no tolerance for those who give motorcyclists a bad image or endanger the general public. There are proper places for stunting, racing, etc; however a crowded public street isn't one of them. Posting material which could reasonably be construed as celebrating or defending these types of activities will cause you untold grief, and will probably cause you to be shown to the virtual door.
  6. Those that violate the few simple rules we have will likely find themselves in a read only-mode for a period of time to be determined by the CBRXX.com Staff. If you are a chronic offender, your lifespan as a CBRXX.com member will be a brief one.

Again, it is not our intent to have a rigidly controlled and moderated forum, but this is not a forum with no rules, no accountability for your behavior, and no boundaries. Hey, all you have to do is play nice and respect others. You know the difference between right and wrong.

Additional Important Info:
We reserve the right to close or delete any thread/post for any or no reason whatsoever. Anyone who feels that a thread/post is objectionable is encouraged to report it via the "Report This Post" link that appears at the top right of each post. We have the ability to close or remove these, and we will make every effort to do so within a reasonable time frame if we deem necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that this may not happen immediately.

When a thread/post is locked or deleted, it is done so for a reason. Do NOT make another thread/post in continuation of the subject. Do NOT make a new thread/post demanding an explanation. If you would like an explanation, contact us.

If and when a member account is suspended and/or banned, it is done so for a justified reason. Do NOT make a post demanding explanation of why such action has been taken. If you would like an explanation, contact us.

If you receive an e-mail/private message addressing behavioral issues please don't take it as a personal attack. The CBRXX.com Staff is here to assist with making this site run smoothly and this means from time to time they may offer corrective suggestions and/or advice.
