| Go Pro Wide Hero Camera
Surprised that there's nothing posted on this device, the GoPro Hero Cam. Picked one up a couple of weeks ago to cover SCCA Solo racing in Vegas. I got the Wide Hero cam, does 30 fps video in MJPEG and downloads to AVI files, and 5 mega pixel stills that can be programmed like an intervalometer for time lapse. 2GB memory holds short of an hour's worth of video, or just under 2000 stills. Runs off of AAA batteries. The suction up mounting allows positioning anywhere. It handles vibration well. The camera is protected in a waterproof shell submersible to 100 ft. Audio can be modified depending on shooting conditions, but leaves a bit to be desired - but what can one expect for under $200? See test video. Last edited by ImNoSaint; 05-04-2009 at 12:08 PM. | |
