an Arai Quantum - titanium, to match the bike and an AGV Rossi design, wild graphics (sun and moon) that is quieter and lighter than the quantum with better ventilation.

I have a Syncrotech. Great helmet!
The latch system seems more positive and easy to use than other modulars I looked at.
The helmet is also light and has great ventilation.
I wish more shops stocked this helmet.

Went from a Shoei RF900 to the X-11, I like the X-11 in the summer but it is noisy compared to the RF900.
I ride with the RF900 during the winter months.

I have a Schuberth S1 - it's quite heavy but I got used to it.
Very, very quiet up to the 120klm mark then it's like any other helmet.
good venting and comfortable |

I just picked up a new lid at the IMS last week.
The newest model from Arai, The Vector.
This is called Red Eagle. http://www.theservicepavilion.com/images/Eagle_Red.jpg

Well, I have always been a Shoei ho, but I tried on an Arai a month or so ago and liked it as well. Wife picked this one up for me for Christmas. A Q2.

I like that helmet alot Rich and if it were some of the colors I had on the bike, I'd be all over it.
Nice lid!

I have just bought a Suomy - mainly because it fitted fine - I gotta small bonce too - my other 2 helmets are Hjc's - the flip up is noisy - but I fitted a helmet skirt and always wear earplugs. |

I use a Shoei RF900. The little air exhaust wing on the back seems to really work. My head buffets less than when I had my old Shoei X8.

I started with a R-800 no complaints. I have since gotten the Scorpion exo 400. Very nice lid, pretty quiete and can't complain about the price or looks. Since then, a wreck has blemished the Scorpion and the wife bought a new one for Christmas, Shoei Strife Rf-1000. I haven't had it on the bike yet but i'm looking forward to it. It looks and feels great. I'm pretty sure i'll enjoy it on the road too.

At least someone posted something. I was getting sick of this thread popping up because of nothing other than an incremented vote count.

Arai quantum 11,quiet,light,incredibly comfortable.Hate changing shields so I use a light tint all the time with sunglasses in the day.May get a Shoei next time because of the shield, had them before, only helmet that compares to the Arai and part of my job is selling helmets.Although the Icon Mainframe is pretty comfortable too.
For those whose shields fog up,use an anti-fog wax.I forget what brand I have but it works on shields. So far the bathroom mirror hasn't fogged up in 2 weeks, thought I'd test it there first.

The scorpion is really really a good helmet for the money... for some reason on shoei helmets dont fit down over my head far enough, almost like my chin is sticking out under the helmet (It really isnt though). My HJC is noisy and cheaply made compared to the scorpion... and to think the HJC was MORE expensive...
Ya'll looking for a good priced helmet, i reccommend the scorpion... ive been really happy with it. | Glad to hear this God!! Just picked one of these up at the Cleveland IMS last week. Was looking at the HJC AC-11(???) and then found the Scorp for within $5, and it had the newer Snell M2005 rating.
The real clincher though was the rep at their booth. This guy was AWESOME customer service. You could tell he really loved their product.......but more importantly, felt very sincere.......not like he was just there hawking product Felt it was the better value for my buck, and his customer service made it a "no-brainer" for me. Hope the rest of their company is just like him if I ever have a problem with it.
Old helmet was a Fulmer with the M2000 Snell rating, but didn't see them as an option up there either, so just put "Other". Descent helmet for the money (got on sale for $75) but their shield side attachment has always given me problems.......kinda fragile/chintzy.....Always breaks out when I lift the visor
Also........Seems like I can see further back into my blindspot when I turn my head with the Scorp than I could with the Fulmer. That always bugged the piss out of me, and actually was the one thing that made me feel less safe wearing my helmet.
That's why it was a non-negotiable when I bought a new helmet. Again, Scorp's booth rep was awesome........Let me take his helmet over to one of the bike areas so I could sit on a bike with it on in actual riding position and check my blind spot visibility
Here's a pic of the new one........

I haven't had any problems with my fulmer yet but I have only worn it 3 times so far. But it was a year end clearance at the local bike shop with military discount I walked out the door with it for 68 bucks with the blue mirrored visor included

I have Shoei lids, they are the only ones so far that fit me well.
RF800 everyday lid
RF1000 road trip lid with Chatter box fitted to it.
A friend tried a shark and said great things about it, may try one next.
Icon are very nice when I don't rip my ears off putting it on and off.
