Hi all,
Recently I bought a Garmin C550 from Amazon.com for $170 delivered. I also ordered the Ram-mount brake/clutch mount/arm/plate and a Garmin C550 cradle. While I'm sure the Zumo 550 is a great GPS but at almost 4 times the cost of the C550, I decided to see how long the c550 will last on my CBR-1100XX. If it doesn't work out, I will replace it.
After receiving everything, found that the cradle was made in plastic with a small plastic ball that goes into the back of the gps only by friction mount (push on/pull off type.) and that sure didn't seem to be able to stand the vibration of the bike. So I bought a strip of 1" x 1/8" thick aluminum strip and made a bracket to hold it securily. Here are some pics.

The best thing about it is that I've installed 3 diff progs on it
Tomtom
Igo 2008
MioMaps
Can switch over in between them in a matter of a minute
Really handy yoke, sad not waterproof.

Navigo, the original software is crap, but once you hack the device you can put pretty much anything on it.
