    Re: Helmets with Bluetooth installed

I have the Sena SMH10 headset system. It is AWESOME. I have an HJC helmet with a mount on the outside, I also have the Bell DLX helmet with the built in mount where the SMH10 fits into the shell of the helmet. the exterior mount is quieter. The Bell DLX can have a little wind noise where the wind travels around the Sena mounted in the side of the helmet. Only bothersome on a real long trip and then a well placed piece of electrical tape, stops that.

    Re: Helmets with Bluetooth installed

I fitted this little BT-S2 unit and was pleasantly surprised, wasn't holding out too much hope it has to be said but it's really quite good. Whether the phone used with it has any bearing on sound/volume I don't know but my old HTC mini fed through it was detailed, plenty of bass etc. and was only turned up 3/4 before being too loud with the unit set on max'. Radio worked well and held station/sounded great however I didn't go far and I've yet to try the phone but stood in the garden it worked ok from home! No doubt there are better more polished units about but for the paltry amount paid I'm very pleased. Marillion, Suede and new found favourites LP and Rag n Bone Man were pleasant company.

Update: radio not great overall ref' sound and 'hissing' unless you've got a decent signal, the rest however is fine, it pairs well, the phone is good, battery lasts an age and sounds fine via Bluetooth/phone.
