    Re: Helmets with Bluetooth installed

I fitted two of these in both my helmets (AGV and Arai). Easy install, both helmets are intercom ready.

As i said before, the only con is no radio station memory. And automatic answer maybe...

Beside that, all positive considering the price. Good range, awesome battery, easy sync with android phone, etc etc

Here is one of them, in my Arai:

Why compromise and potentially get a lackluster performer......my suggestion, buy a great helmet that accepts a communicator
internally, which fits well, and meets your needs, then have a Sena or equiv installed inside. There just are not too many fully
integrated options avail today, so why settle for second best.....

but this one does not come with transition shield.
I had one of those Bell transition shields. They're awesome unless you live somewhere where it gets over 80 plus degrees (which is like everywhere). They have no UVA/UVB protection so they not only allow you to get sunburned, it's crazy hot in the helmet. Living in Arizona, they are a NO GO for me.

Btw, I still have the transition shield sitting around. I never bothered to sell it since there's a slight scratch on it, but it's out of the way IIRC.

Buddy, be patient. I'm not saying don't buy anything at all but that Sena helmet will be a game-changer. I'm actually waiting for the version that adds a camera on top. In the meantime, I'm running the Sena 10r - low profile to keep wind noise down. If you have no helmet at all then I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

Oh, btw, Cycle Gear has what you're looking for and in fact the unit that they use is from Sena.

    https://www.cyclegear.com/gear/bilt-...uetooth-helmet

But I'd hate to see you spend a bunch of money on this then be unable to get the Sena INC helmet when it comes out. Personally, I had been following their page and looked nearly every day for over a year for an update on the INC helmet. I couldn't take it anymore so unfollowed them so I wouldn't be tortured waiting for it.

I wouldn't swap my Shoei for anything unless the fit was as good, it really is a nice helmet. If these integrated Bluetooth helmets fit and perform well as a crash helmet as well as a com's device then they are definitely worth a look taking into account the cost of decent Bluetooth and an XR1100 combined they are considerably cheaper too.

It's an rds radio and seems fine. I normally stream music or satnav audio from my phone though. On automatic volume I can hear it clearly at any speed.

I run the cardo g9x it has the earbud jack. Once you learn how to put it on it's great. Have had conversations on numerous occasions and the person had no clue i was doing 75mph. It is bluetooth worked great with my G4 and G7 phones. Buttons are very usable but the vox makes them pretty much un needed.
Route 191 formerly Route 666 Some say that this section of the
road has 1100 curves in 95 miles.

Got it installed and to be honest am quite disappointed in it. Compared to the earlier version i had the volume at higher levels are very distorted. Previously i could hear my music at 80 no problem. Amazon are taking it back with no questions asked.

That's a shame, hopefully you got a duff one or else mine will be going in the bin as it's on it's way from China and won't be worth returning.

    Helmets with Bluetooth installed

I have an Aldi version, does all the things the others do but speakers not great when listening to music, quite piercing at times. I don't generally listen to music a lot so not bothered too much and their ok when on a call or intercom, looking to upgrade though and the Sena helmet sounds like a good option if looking to replace your helmet as well as I am providing it's a good fit, I also like the Bell option
