My local dealer made me a smokin' deal on a Moto GP jacket. It's a combination mesh/textile jacket. It has full CE armour in the right places.
They do everything on this jacket with zip in layers. The first layer, right under the mesh is a windproof/waterproof liner. Under that, there is an insulated layer.
I like the concept, but I'm not too sure of the protection. It may protect you, but you can bet that this is a throw away jacket after contact with the asphalt.
Anyone have one of these jackets?

I have some motogp gear (all leather) and the jacket you are talking about sounds a lot like my spidi net jacket (codura material) anyways I high sided with that jacket on and it held up, rashed a little, made a small tear but I hit hard and she held up. I pretty much prefer to always wear leather but if you get a nice codura jacket with hard armour (not dual density foam) then it should last more than one crash. The key is just dont crash!

Whatever jacket you get, I highly recommend the hard "GP" type armour, hard plastic shell with foam backing. Armour Types Explained

They work on cold days but cool days and warmer has me wishing I'd have just wapped my lower half in celephane. They do not breath for me. I had sweat filling up my boots!!!!
