I own an 03' blackbird and wanted to find an easy-to-operate throttle lock system for highway rides. I checked vista cruise and their model wouldn't work on my bars. I searched the internet for about a month and decided to go with the version made by throttlemeister and I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with its operation. It operates by twisting the bar end(while riding) and I would rather have an on/off switch. Any suggestions on a better setup?

Hey man don't believe that, I installed one on my bird and I love it. It's in a position where you don't see it and works great. If you interested I'll send you some pics. Ron

Actually, this one is the best, but I don't think they have one for the XX. You could check with them to see. It's pricey though: BrakeAway Motorcycle Cruise Control
I've tried about every cruise out there, and since I never really need to take my hand completely off the grip, I've been using a Throttle Rocker II and LOVE it. Lets me relax my hand and stretch my fingers while still maintaining throttle position.

I fitted a Vista Cruise on my XX last year and love it, I fitted the specific one for Honda's (and kwaka's) with dual throttle cables, not the Universal one as that is apparently a mongrel to fit properly. For fitting look here cruse control installation guide Fitting a Vista Cruise Control |

That's about the same way I installed mine, less cost, less weight, less filling , works great! Sound's like a Coors commercial. LOL

I still like Throttlemeister, but John, you'll have a PM when you get back.
