If you've never done it before, it might take you an hour or so. That includes assembling the rack and installing it. That doesn't include any wiring though.
Once you get it on there, you can remove it all as one piece if you ever have the need. I can switch it on/off in about 15 minutes now because I'm used to it.

Hello ConqSoft.
Which model tank bag do you have? Looks very nice.

Thanks for taking the time to post this ConqSoft its really been very useful.
Can you tell me the part numbers for the WingRack II and the fitting kit needed for the blackbird - presumably its works on any age Blackbird?

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
It depends on which setup you want. Here are the part numbers for the WingRack II: RL Motorcycles - Givi Wing Racks. I have the N141.
And you will also need the mounting kit: Y158

Thanks again ConqSoft, now i know what to shop for!
I'm seriously tempted to get the same setup as yours at the start of this thread, e52, 2x e41 and the baglux tank cover and bag.
It looks like the perfect long distance touring setup to me!

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
Conq, can the E52 or the E460 top case be mounted by itself with just it's own mounting rack and hardware? Or does it need to be used in conjunction with the side bag mounting racks? Thanks in advance for the info.

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
Givi has a top-case-only rack also. That's all you would need if you only want a top-case. You can see it listed here on this page for $112 (currently): RL Motorcycles - Givi Luggage Mounts

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
Thanks, Conq. If I bought the top-case-only rack and in the future I decided to buy side racks and cases, could it be incorporated into the side racks? Or would I have to buy a new top rack with the side racks?

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
No, you would need the Wing Rack if you wanted all three bags. They are completely different racks.

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
check out the SW-MOTECH bird stuff at TwistedThrottle.com for a stand-alone toprack that can be later complemented with the pannier racks. Nice looking rack
, really...

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
The SW-MOTECH rack has quick-releases on it, so make sure you get the optional locks to make sure someone doesn't walk off with your rack and bags.

Re: Honda CBR 1100XX with Givi E41 Side Cases and E52 Top Case
Hey ConqSoft,
I just was given a Wingrack II, but it doesn't have the top mount for the top case, it is just the side case bracket... My question is did your set-up on the silver bike come with any special mounting hardware/kit/spacers? I was looking at fitment today, and it looks like you need some sort of spacers to fit the top crossbar (the part that attaches to the pillion grab handle) onto the handle mounting bolts.
Thanks in advance,
Noble
