Yes but €300 + postage from them £179 inc postage from sportsbikeshop.co.uk. I ordered 2 different sizes to get the best fit & returned the other one for a full refund.

Yes, but what's the cost of comfort & safety without having to wear leather.

I have 2 pairs of Hornee jeans,i'm not sure as they might only be sold in australia,i can't tell but they have a real nice cut and only 160 AUD which i think it's not bad for kevlar as a pair of Levis can cost 120

The nice thing about the esquad jeans is that they are not lined. The strength comes from the yarn itself which means that the wind passes through the material and they are cool on hot days.

120 pounds for Draggin Jeans...must be the shipping across the pond...I bought one for around 90 American dollars on sale.

Odd, as both mine and the Other Half's were special orders, and there is no mention of leg lenght on the tags on the jeans.......

Re: Jeans/Trousers for everday+bike use

Check out Cycleport or Motoport.com ...Kevlar Mesh Gear....fits over clothing but with the liners out it's like wearing a tSHIRT. Machine washable, 7 year warranty and if they cant fix it after a dismount they'll replace it for free. say they are comfy to 120 degrees. Had mine on when I totalled my bird last january and you cant even tell where I went down except for the dirt. Not a mark on 'em. Double layer kevlar to be exact.

Re: Jeans/Trousers for everday+bike use

Im very dubous as to the protection value of anything but quality leather and armour

I had a look at the draggin jeans....turned em inside out...LOAD OF BOLLOX if u ask me

it looked like some one had loosley sown a chain mail style dish cloth into the knee and butt area...this is the Kevlar they brag off....its not even stiched in all the way round...IT JUST FLOPS ABOUT

While im sure the the denim may well be high quality stiching...the half sowed in kevlar is worse than useless in any kind of dragging crash

If you wore armour inserts that would be a different story.

Considering they make the jeans for about 20bucks each, i reckon Bikers are getting fleeced pricewise

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Bikers do realy deserve a MUCH BETTER PRODUCT than the poop draggin jeans has come up with

Im cant see why there cannot be thin flexible reinforced panels stitched to the inside of key areas...& reinforced seams and threads through out the garment.

For something like this i would spend 200 us bucks

IMHO on closer inspection it just one of those persistent PR scams...better than noname jeans for sure, but only 1/10 th as good as they could be

Re: Jeans/Trousers for everday+bike use

I think i will go for hood....they have a nice size chart to choose from

and the inner lining extends further

Size Chart

-------------------------------------------------------------

i think i will do some mods to the jeans too get some patches and light Armour sewn in

ive been doing some tests and experiments

There a huge Market for Ultra safety jeans, no ones filled it (ive been looking for a side business that will make the world a better place....this could be it)

at the end of the day

Jeans = poor protection
Leather n Pad = poor comfort

= peeps often choose comfort over protection

the way i see it even the best Ultra jeans will fall short, but as peeps do ride with jeans let them wear the absolute best there could be

I just know i can do a much better job than anything ive seen on the market

there are a million bikers in the uk & you can bet everyone of wants at least one pair of Well Sorted Jeans

Re: Jeans/Trousers for everday+bike use

I have not checked out the quality of new Draggin Jeans, however my old and current pairs the Kevlar is fully stiched in.

Having being high sided and landing on head / shoulder / knees. I can say these jeans worked for me. The demin did tear but the kevlar stayed in place. I ended up with small carpet burns only to the knees. Hip area of impact small demin tear only.

Until something better comes along and is as comfortable to wear I'm happy with Draggin Jeans when not wearing full leathers.

Re: Jeans/Trousers for everday+bike use

well its good to hear that the draggin jeans are tough in real world tumbles

fek all use to me unless i can find a pair that fit !!!

I picked up a real good set of proper Armour trousers for 40quid so at last i got some leg wear for longer journeys

RK is the make (was in one of those overflowing bargain bins that litter the floorspace of every bike shop i been to in the uk ....cept dainese & riders of course lol)

has a complex and jointed knee shin armour + hip pads. double stitching all over the place. flexi hip pad ...and a realy cool slip buckle to adjust the waist...only down side is the legs are 2 inches short but the knee armour is in the perfect position for me

they are quite thin and flexible & have a removable lining, as i avoid rideing in the winter & crappy they will be perfect long jouneys and return trip in the summer evenings

took 2 long afternoons of shopping to find them...gettin decent bike clothing is a real drag

im gonna get the legs extended 2inches , prolly get a leather flange sown on

------------------------------------------------

ill pick up some biking jeans at some point...i just get sick n tired of limited size and style choice...biking jeans are a bit thin on the ground in the uk

gloves by the 1000s literally skipfulls of them in the local shops

good choice of cloth jackets & cloth trousers ...wall to wall

but jeans & biker footware thin on the ground

I have a pair of ICON jeans that only have protection in the knees...and heavy denin on the hips (that is protection!). I was very unhappy when I found that out. I never use them.

I wear my RECON's all the time and love them. Since I don't do any knee draggin' in every day riding my biggest fear is similar to markcbr's experiance, rather than a high speed slide down the macadam.
