Couple of friends of mine and I want to come and tour your country. The basic plan is to fly in, rent bikes, sight see for 10-11 days, fly out! We know Jan & Feb are the warmest months. Trip planned for 08. Got any leads or advice for 3 yanks?  Got books & such. Would like some local input! regards in advance

Hi Uvaldexx, Join Kiwi Biker - New Zealand motorcycle community and post on there, my wife and I did this before and during our 3 month tour of NZ and met up with loads of great folks which prompted us to move here from the other sider of the world. I guess it all depends what you like, what age you are and what your into. Sight seeing, partying, adventure sports? How long are you coming for?  Keep intouch if you would like somewhere to crash near Wellington. Also, if you are planning on renting bikes, get in touch with NZ Bike Rentals. New Zealand Motorcycle Rentals and Tours - Motorbikes for rental, hire and to tour New Zealand The wife and I got married in Queenstown in 2005 and the NZ Bike guys were absolutely the best!!!!!! Other than that, make sure you spend a majority of your time on the South Island. Less traffic, less residents, and more scenery! |
