| SR-71 in Transformers
Went to see the movie today, had no idea the original Blackbird had a supporting role, brief in original form and no shots of it really flying, but thought the idea was cool. His "character" was a little ironic.Won't say anymore.

So are you saying that it is worth seeing on the big screen, or just wait for it to come out on DVD? Lois

I think this is definitely a Big screen movie, but I still have a 25 in tube tv. I think the second one is better than the first. More action, better fight scenes bigger explosions, typical Bay movie.

| Re: SR-71 in Transformers I agree--I think this is one of the (many?) instances where the critics (pretty much all of them hated it) are way off the mark. Its being panned for being to loud, having too many fight scenes, and being filled with too many cheesy lines; what the hell do they expect? This ain't James Joyce folks, it a movie about Japanese toys from the 80s...I really enjoyed both movies, and think this one is definitely worth the big screen view.

exactly why do we worship the sr-71 blackbird? i mean yeah our bikes are named after them... but it would be like comparing lois to all the women in the world named lois... and well im sure the women don't have hairy nipples and a plumbers crack (maybe a few) .... sorry just curious

And the fact that they have a few slow motion scenes of Megan Foxx running with a small top only adds that much more to a great movie. Cqan't wait for the 3rd one to come out.

NOW, I'm gonna go see it!!Quote:
![]() small rant follows: What the hell do they think we go see these types of movies for anyways? A story line?? Get real. Stay as close to the original intent, and most of us will be happy! At least those of us "in the know", anyways. I remember reading some nonsense Howard what's-his-name...yeah, Terrence Howard (he's such a fag, but I like some of his other roles, but I digress...) said about the story in the Iron Man movie, like the message in the movie, comparing it to the manhattan project, the "human" aspect, etc. ...now that I think about it, there were some good points, but that ain't the point! All Iron Man needed to do was kick some a**!! Eff a story line! I guess ultimately the producers need to appeal to the widest possible audience (think Star Wars episodes 1, 2, and 3). And don't get me started on the X-men...

This one? I have to ask as I don't go to the movie theater when school is out. I just can't enjoy a movie that I've paid to see with a bunch of people (kids mostly but not exclusively) talking or texting or otherwise ruining my experience. I'll wait for school to start and go to a mid week matinee.

Some action movies are really enhanced by a deeper theme. Iorn Man missed the mark, but think about The Dark Night. It was as much about the relativlistic nature of morality as it was a comic book superhero movie, and it was all the better for it. One of the best movies Ive seen in a while.

oh and as for the SR-71... <POSSIBLE SPOILER> highlight below to view better WTF is up with him having a cane and lack of memory? i mean it hasn't been THAT long... i could have understood if he was the ford model T or something... but jeeze give him some credit.... he did have some bad ass moves w/ that transporter of his "thank god i got us on the same planet" LMAO!!! anyway, it was a great movie. Just like the first, its not often anymore where the 2nd movie is just as good or better then the first one. and im with smurf, i have transformers on bluray and ive at least watched it 50 times (not even close to how many times ive watched boondock saints... NOTHING comes close to that movie) just remember gents, if your with your wife.... don't oogle megan or pop a tent cuz you won't be gettin any for a while

Star Wars is more of an Epic (like tolkien) than an action hero movie. Ive even heard someone call it the great American novel.

| Resident Eh?hole. | Re: SR-71 in Transformers I thought Iron Man hit the mark quite effectively. It had several interesting comments about our culture, our many weaknesses, and our redeeming qualities as well. All it was really missing was some hottie in a skimpy outfit (Gwyneth just didn't do it for me) jogging in slow motion.
