I would like to think that I was at the frontier of politely ignoring people whilst listening to sony walkman,(1983),,take for example my Mother who could talk until the Insects hibernated.I nodded every 30 seconds and every minute feigned a grin which at times more nodding where needed depending on where her eyebrows went''''''....It is an art you know!

I found that I'm spending something like: $ 3.92 / day (total cost / number of days on the bike).

This rating is the amount spent on my 1997 Blackbird (black, of course ...) from the day of its purchase, considering only those items related to maintenance: tires, battery, voltage regulator, painting restoration, filters, oil, decals etc.. .. (excluding the purchase price and the amount spent on fuel).

That's the price I'm "investing" to keep her (the bike) in absolutely original condition.
