I know, not motorcycle related, but this man was a master driver. And listen to the 1.5 liter V8 howl! ![]() YouTube - GP Oulton Park 1963 - Jim Clark

I saw him race in New Zealand in 1968. I have a pair of goggles like that, a Brit model. I don't use them but don't have the heart to sell them. I bought them at the British moto dealer who sells Triumphs and Guzzis. Almost bought a LeMans. OOps, I ripped your thread. Sorry. I'm on my Spring Break and have too much time on my hands. |

Hard to and most likely not fair to compare drivers from one period to another but Clark is was and will be my #1. Saw him at Sebring in Lotus Cortina. Who knew that car could go that fast and can you see a current F1 driver doing that? |

It's a great video, and note all the "safety" equipment the driver has, the tiny little car with "crumple zones" that include crumpling the driver. The track is a real safe venue also. Most serious crashes meant the end of a career or death. Those men had balls of steel.
