Another post to keep the Northeast room alive. Well here it's November and today will be my last ride until the spring. Nothing very long just enough to get the Seafoam into the injectors and put a smile on my face. I really need to move to a warmer state!

Why would you put your bike away for the year already. It's snowing here today but I know it won't last. Couple of cool days then with the roads dry and some above freezing temperatures I'm good to go again. A short ride is better than no ride. I never really put the BB away for long anytime. I just throw the cover over it in the garage to keep the dust off of it. No need to winterize, just hook up the battery tender and it's always ready! Life is good.

Happy storage..... It is spring here in the land down under, and already getting temps up around 30C, and it is not due to start getting warm until later this month. I think our coldest winter day this year was about 11-12C and not much rain.

Usually ride all year as long as the ice and snow don't impede me. Rode to
work right up to Christmas a couple of years ago.. and all through February.
Just broke off any body parts frozen to bike. Down to seven fingers now.

I have only seen it snow once when I was living in Croydon (Victoria) - 23 years ago.

After a good rain it is not too unusual to have 18" of water flowing across the main road, altho we are in a drought now, so that doesn't happen too often anymore.

Since it doesn't rain much in Georgia anymore, I am going riding tomorrow and the high temp is going to be 74 degrees!

Still, I have a new Widder electric vest on the way for later this week when the temps dip into the 30s.

What is SeaFoam? Something better than StaBil?

Putting the bike away already!!!! Man, you're gonna give us Northeasters a bad name.....next thing you know they'll want to close the Northeast forum from November until the spring thaw....
I took a spin today as well. Nothing like some cold, crisp air for a nice ride.

Today was 11 C, took her for short spin, 100 km or so. Even LEO was out and about. 9500ii keeps them at bay. Had a short run up to 210kph just to blow off any dust. I'll ride any weekend that there is no black ice, wet leaves, snow or ice. Sometimes it's just once every few weeks or so but it's a ride nevertheless. She sits in a warm garage, covered and hooked to the battery tender. Glad I'm not elsewhere in this vast colony. Cheers

A bad name haha!! I think we have proven ourselves just but living in the north east, especially you folks in Maine. I say this every year & I end up taking it out any way. I did around 100 miles yesterday top speed around 130. It was a bit colder than I thought it would be.

Ride to work this morning was 39 degrees F. No electric gear, just layers and warm gloves.

What are you wearing for pants? I have the Vanson jacket with liner that keeps me warm but the legs get very cold. I was thinking about lined leather pants but the prices on them are thru the roof.

Just my jeans. When the temp dips to 32 or below I will then put on my thermal long underwear. My commute is 20 miles each way.

A good friend of mine told me about it he says it's much better than SaBil? Something about the way gas is made now a days it won't keep as long as it used to even with StaBil in it but the SeaFoam will keep the gas fresh longer.
