It will be interesting to see which series the high-powered factory teams will choose, the MIC or the DMG. From the article it seems that they might be more attracted to the MIC series because the superbikes would be less restricted. This battle between the two organizations will be something to keep an eye on, indeed.

Yepper ... The article draws parrells to IRL and CART series and how this ruined open wheel racing in the US. Looks like this will do the same.

In my eye both groups are a little suspect. DMG is going to try and NASCAR motorcycle racing. The only good part of that is they sure know how to promote but not sure we need the rest of the baggage.
MIC council is not a knight in shinning amour either. They tried and are still bulling folks on motorcycle rider training.
And the fight will not be good for the sport no matter who wins.
May just have to go back to flat track. It was a pack house at the Indy Mile and some good handle bar to elbow racing.

After Honda's Ray Blank and DMG Roger Edmonson had their little meeting at Indy, it sounds like they kissed and made up.
We'll see. The AMA had to do something about racing in this country. I haven't been to Road Atlanta in 6 years due to the boring nature of AMA style racing. Curious, isn't that when Nickey Hayden went to Moto GP? And please, please get better announcers for TV broadcasts. Greg White is a better race caller than Spencer, Schwantz and Shehann. Listen to the guys that call SBK. They make it really interesting to watch since they get so wound up about it.
