SilverBrd... I took a hard look at the picture as you suggested. Great pic but it really didn't help me much in determining an ET. Looks like you have slipons. I'll take a guess. 11.3. I'm figuring the weather wasn't ideal down there in the heat.

Looking at the picture I think I see the following:
1) Rider two is already on the pegs and heading down track.
2) Your left foot is still on the track.
3) It somewhat appears that the front wheel is cocked to the left a bit.
4) Perhaps your recovering from a launch issue and have chopped the throttle. Best guess would be that the bike went skyward on the launch and you got crossed up a bit. Looks like your in the midst of recovery and getting back into it or thinking about getting into it again.
The 1/4 mile time I remember for a stock XX is somewhere in the 10's in street trim. If I'm anywhere near to correct with my four points above I'd take a wild shot and say you still pulled off a high 11 second pass,..maybe just touching the front end of the 12's and went through the traps at about 125mph or so. The clock starts only after you break the beam at the line..so even if you get holeshot and sit there you'll still get a accurate E.T. and mph for your pass.
edit: On second thoughts...How fast can you go with a flat front tire?
Tony

I say that as fo rthe pic your not even to the line yet, Not even close since I cant see the beam in the pic at all and the fact that your raceing what looks like a 2000 R1 Witch shouldnt be able to keep up with you. Id say your time should be around 10.5@140mph

What I can discern from this picture:
looks like:
1- the sun is about to set; maybe 7:30 or so
2- you gave the guy on the yamaha a head start
3- there are no spectators
4- wind seems to be calm
5- your upper torso seems to be twisted to the right just a bit
...and you don't seem ready to launch at all. I dunno, 12 maybe.

I say you spun the wheel at the line, drifted sideways, depends mostly on your track experience.First time?I'd say you end up 11.6 at 128.More experienced-11.1 @130
Naw,you're sideways big time-11.8 @128

Union Grove WI, on the 10th Ill be there bring your 600

When I looked at the picture initially I couldn't believe that was actually the launch. SilverBrd you really hooked that one up. I thought that you in were the burn-out area. Couldn't see the tree. So what did you turn?

but to what my actually point of even bringing up my times were. someone had said that there is no reason a 2000 r1 should be able to keep up with him. hp on the bike is roughly the same the r1 has roughly 12 or so less ft/lbs of torque, but it also weighs prolly 90 pounds less. the only advantages that the blackbird has is a slightly longer wheelbase and the power curve is a little tamer. the fastest time i personally read on a 00 r1 was a 10.3 so not as fast as the my bird times but to say there is no reason it couldnt keep up with a bird is ridiculous. most times on bikes it comes down to rider verse rider, especially when comparing anything 1000cc or above and sometimes outlaw even when comparing 600's to big bore bikes. and that was the point that was intended to be made!

I remember saying that I want to see you take a 600 into the mid 10s....And I will be at the Grove on the 10th with my bird for the second time one the track. My first times I ran a best time of 10.83@129mph with a 1.8 60ft time. My bike has slip-ons and I lowered the ass and inch. And for weight, I weigh in at 155lbs so yes I am smaller then you. And the reason that I say The bird will beat a 2000 R1 Is because I owned one last sommer. Ill show you the pics if you really want to see it. And My 03 blackbird is faster than my 00 R1.

Your times are seem to off for your 60' times and the mph seems way low. id guess that something is slowing you down in your tune department. but a easiest way to pick up a few mph is foregore using the clutch for your up shifts after 2nd gear.

And I still would love to see you come up on the 10th for the open race. I already have a few other bird riders that are suposed to meet up with me before the track, one of them coming from your neck of the woods.
