It's definately not a carbed model.
99-07 should run the same. Then again those Aussies might come with airtight exhaust systems and be dog slow...

They are spending alot more per HP but I can never effectively run NOS with is a bother to me as I would love a chance at the TX mile.
In this testosterone filled forum you might as well have asked who has the biggest...............

im told the Fi bikes have more HP but doesnt show due to emissions
the Carb models seem to accelerate harder from low rpm

The Blackbird ram air system was tested with others in a really good article in Cycle Canada some years back,it showed that system was excellent and if I remember correctly was good for about 5% more power once the airbox was fully pressurized.Airbox won't make positive pressure until you are going like 80mph,it varies from model to model, but you get the idea.
I have drag raced identical XX's,1 carbed,1 f.i. same km's on both motors, the f.i. had more mph every pass.

Well, so far as I've come to understand it, the 01 was the last year before the "self regulation" to 186 mph, AND it was the last year without the 100 HP limiter for first gear...
this tells me 01's are the fastest bone stock...
they easily have the prettiest paint...LOL

mostly earlier 98 carbed birds have peakier response after 7000 rpm havin different ignition timing and slightly different cams and also their exhausts bridged in 12 -34 pairs which helps also at higher rpms .... the efi shows a bit better low mid response using 14 -23 exhaust bridging and with different pgm-fi ingition...they also have slight differences in the frame,1 liter bigger tank, more efficient radiator and oil cooler, altered and little bigger airbox and upgraded regulators/rectifiers ...and also efi's have improved oem windscreens ,plus triple catalysts..

I have heard top speed is 180ish MPH on a stock '97, but mine, minus the center stand and a 4-2-1 exhaust system has been at 160mph with PLENNNNTY left to go.
