A sad week in Motorsport![]()
Really nasty crash, hit by Edwards and Rossi whilst on the ground, the impact with Rossi tore his helmet off....it makes painful viewing.
Sad loss of a talented rider
Extremely sad day for motorsport.
R.I.P Marco Simoncelli.
Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance
Always on the edge, but so exciting to watch a Racers Racer. A close friend of Rossi he will be devastated, looked like the impact with Edwards did the damage.
Life begins at 240kmph !
A very beautiful sport punctuated by moments of ugliness. God Speed, Marco.

A rather sad weekend gets even more after this incident...a very talented and upcoming rider was lost...i was watching the accidents video and marco looked unresponsive sliding with the bike to the right of the track before edwards and rossi run over him..i feel something was not right even before the crash...
This is so sad. I think it is testament to his popularity that my g/f booked us tickets to the British motogp for next year just to see if Marco could win. She isn't really interested in racing but Marco made racing interesting for everyone who saw him. He was larger than life and a pleasure to watch on and off track.
im so sad RIP. Marco thank you for the time you were with us
Wow sad too see......RIP , when a helmet comes off no good, he almost looked to be hanging way off the bike at impact.. RIP
many as a box of frogs but a truly talented racer and a champion for the future, he rode the bike as if he stole it always on the edge but at the end of a race come win or bin he had a huge smile R.I.P Marco
I'm not a complete idiot.........some bits are missing
