"Fuel leak seems to have been fixed. But the oil leak has started again."

Could it be you are getting over anxious and tightening those bolts a little too much?

When I did the my clutch, I did not use a sealer and there was none on there originally.

If fact I think I wiped the surface with a rag (no cleaner) and perhaps left a light film of oil.

I also go around the bolts four times from unseated (just in), lightly seated, finger tight, hand tight 1/4 inch drive.

Checked the manual: only a small portion the the gasket gets sealer.

Steve,I think its a Sharkskinz, bought it on Ebay.

Didn't over tighten. The relief bolt on the main fuel line going into the pump was a little loose, like a 1/4 turn, thats all I found.

I've done the clutch a few times now,and all other gasket surfaces on it at least once, most 2-3 times and this is the first time anything leaked.I've never used sealer on any, except the oil pan which is entirely sealer of course.
I forgot to use my new clutch gasket because I took the cover off Tuesday and put it back on Wed. it had come off in one piece so back on it went. The only reason to use any sealant on that surface is to hold the gasket in place while its going on,I stick a couple bolts through the cover first to do that.

Decided not to race today either.

Update: can't see any more oil or gas.But its still smoking,so of course thats just residue burning off the pipe only it progressively smoked more.Cleaned everything again, really starting to appreciate contact cleaner,no wonder every shop I've worked in goes through so much of it.Now dry to the touch all over the pan,pipe,sides-fired it back up,wisps of smoke are coming from an area under the pipe where the spring hook is welded...great,I almost changed my mind about racing today.Guess I'll mow the forest that resembles my lawn instead.
