hello all, Dave from MA here. currently riding a Kawi cruiser and a Honda Interceptor. bought the Interceptor this year on a whim and it is a great bike, but i need more power. took it cross country with full luggage and i could have definitely used a tad more power. had an FJR1300, but don't want to go back to a bike like that, too smooth, too disconnected. from looking around, it appears that the Blackbird is the best thing for me right now. what do you all think ? i know the bike is a tad heavier than the Interceptor, but does the ride still feel like a sport bike ? i just don't want to go so heavy that it mimicks the FJR ride.

If I was ever tempted to the dark side, it would certainly be a 'Mean Streak'

G'day from Oz.
The bird is a good tourer, very smooth and comfortable. It is not a hypersports bike, but can still carve up the twisties as hard as you want it to. There are also a few of us who take our birds out on track days (whenever the finances allow).

Welcome from the windy city. I have been on an FJR. Nice bike. The bird will out handle it and is more fun to ride. It will still do the touring thing nicely.
