G'day from Australia
Use the search function to find out advice on oils, there's plenty !
My advice is use good quality oil (mineral or synthetic and ALWAYS change filter when changing oil). I do mine as per the manual (every 6000 klms).

You live in a very nice part of the states. I have a brother who lives in Everett ............................ Except for the rain !

from Gotham! The Bird is an awesome piece of machinery as you can see! on the search function. Find everything you wanted to know about your Bird that your mechanic couldn't tell you!

I've not been to the eastern edge, yet, but Southbound Honda in Lakewood is where I got my BB. I know there are several shops in the Seattle area that could accomodate you. There are also online vendors if you bolt them on yourself. Probably save yourself some sales tax getting stuff online anyways, at least the stuff you mentioned.

Greetings and hang around a while, you just might enjoy the stay

Service Honda online has worked very well for me. Best prices, ships when they say. I have also used Ron Ayers---but their prices were not as good and some folks have had delays--but not all. Check them both---WAY better prices than any dealer I have checked with. Happy trails kel

Hello there GeekXX, I'm over here in Cheney, about 16 miles away I make it into Spokane weekly, we should ride sometime. I also have a 97'.

I'm getting my bike serviced coming up on August 7th, I'll let you know how that goes around here.
