Couple of years ago my wife and I visited the east coast and stayed at the Rumrunner Inn in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. (home of the Bluenose) We just loved the place and the name stuck with me.

Had girlfriend who worked on the west coast of Tassie in a town called Strahan.
Used to ride over there on weekends. Needed a name on forums and after trying lots that were all taken I tried and its been that ever since!

Really loved Tassie and Strachan was great although quite cold ( missus loved it being a pom ).
May go back abain later this year, would love to do some of those mountain roads on a bike ( had to make do with a hire Magna before - still fun though )
Have you checked out OzBB, there are a few Tassie guys on there |

Thanks Para,
I lived in Perth until August last year then moved back to Tassie.
The OZBB site is not working for me. Says Sever almost ready. . I will give it a go in a couple of days.
The ride from Hobart to Strahan is a good one. Its not totally dry very often but when it is... |

Yeah we had the server crash big time ~3 1/2 mths ago and there are still some bugs that cause it to "drop out" every so often |

last name is anderson so in the military they called me andy for short. When I got drunk I would be some what crazy and sometimes scary. I was given the name andychrist on weekends, because during the week I was somewhat shy and quiet. I tried to fight it but it was useless, I've grown to embrace it nowadays. Even though I don't drink anymore. Ta da

I'm new to this site and the XX, so here's my short story:
Zen Rider came from "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"; and the experience I feel when riding ... living for the moment.
Plus the fact that I've owned 5 bikes in the last five years, and have learned to no longer make my log-in name associated with any one bike - I'm such a bike ho.
The last five bikes were all a "hoot": FJR, F650GS, R1150RT, K12S, and now a 2002 Honda CRB11XX (my first bike was a Honda - Trail 90. I tried to kill this bike on many occasions in my youth, but it simply would not die).
I'm looking forward to getting to know the XX.
It's similar to the K12S in many aspects, but at a fraction of the price; and, it's very well mannered.

Birdman was taken and adding the xx put more of the bird into my name so that as a man I am now surrounded by my passion.
I remember Hanna Barbera's 1967 classic cartoons of "birdman and the galaxy trio" who was always fighting the F.E.A.R. organisation. Birdman's powers left him when the sunlight was taken from him - locked in a dark garage. Birdman had the power of flight!
I recall "Birdman of Alcatraz" (1962) who was passionately connected to his hobby of studying birds in great detail.
In Melbourne we have a festival called Moomba which is mostly conducted around the Yarra river which flows through the city. When I was young I enjoyed watching the birdman rally which involved a lot of creative (but otherwise ordinary people) making up contraptions the could fly unaided for 50m (164ft), no one could conquer it for quite a few years. But eventually it was conquered.
I like making choices for more than one reason.

Growing up in California, the group I ran with, were into the drawing of comic book artist Sam Keith, and we also did a bit of graffiti . My style was a bit similar I guess so they called me Maxx.(after his character "the maxx" seen below) Also in the U.S. is a household cleaning product called 409. I used to tag my art with this moniker because my work was sooo clean. Hence Maxx409.

I call mysel jeffatav..............jeff (as it is my first name,).....at( as is "where are you at").......and av (which is locally shortened version of avalon beach)
I had to change to "jeffatav" because on another forum, I mistakenly registered my real name and a female member became a little over zealous and started stalking me via the phone...............explain that to the missus |
