My 1st liquid cooled bike is an 01 XX and I am in love.
You all have that feeling already and hear it all the time but, I have to say, this bike is awesome.
I have been building 79-83 DOHC Hondas for years and got tired of the air cooled bikes and am selling my CB1100Replica but, my CBX stays til they pry it out of my cold dead hands.
I will be asking questions here and there while I adjust to all this power but, I promise not to be a PITA yet.
Thanks for being here and everyone stay cool.
98º here today.

G'day from Oz.

If you are not a PITA, you might not fit in.

Feel free to ask questions and join in discussions.

Right on then, I will do my best PITA but at least with a little So Cal class.
Thanks for the welcome peoples and have a good weekend because mine is gonna rock.
I just bought a titanium Akropovic system for her because she is too quiet.

Cool man, we understand your awe.

I tell you what, if it were 98 degrees here it would be 2 degrees off boiling. If you mean 98F thats nearly 37C which is quite a warm day.

I don't know PITA, so here is your first useful function here - tell me what PITA means. Is is a middle eastern bread? Also note that this is a place you don't have to be afraid to ask silly questions. (I found it - Pain In The A%$^ ... I hadn't heard that one before)

Have fun, I'm sure you will!

Here is my bike that truly amazes me.
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...1513Medium.jpg
I ride red, the only bikes I own are Honda's and Honda's are all I will ever own. All other manufacturers pale in comparison.
I also have a red 79 CBX and a red framed black bodywork Pro-Link CB1100R-eplica.

I see that it is impossible to post pics in a thread, that is not good.

I just got back from the 1st ride, only 40 miles but, it was hot and fun.
96ºf and climbing, too hot to be outside for my sissy la la ass.
When I insured the bird today, it caused a major drop in my yearly bill. I was paying $2006.00 a year for my CBX alone and now I am only paying $700.00 a year for both bikes.
My black bike is insured in someone elses name and going up for sale here in about a week.
Needless to say, I am very impressed with the bird. What else can I say?

If you want to post pics, go into the "Go Advanced" section of your post. The paperclip icon is to manage attachments. Select the photos you want to upload and she'll be apples.

A paperclip icon huh?
OK, that is a new one to me but, I will take advantage of it in the future.
I have no new pics of my Bird today but, tomorrow I will be on the PCH and have the Pacific as my backround.
Thanks for the advice, you all seem like a friendly bunch and that makes me smile.

On a former web site I used to frequent, red & blue were tossed back and forth between which was faster.
I have always known that red was faster than blue but, black is the fastest of all.
Is that true here in the CBR-XX world or am I starting a war?

Here are 9 pages of definitive proof on the subject.

How come bike color affect its top speed ?
