Hi everyone,
Just joined the group and wanted to say hi. I'm an American living in beautiful downtown Alice Springs in the Australian outback. I just bought a silver '07-plated Blackbird (no more black ones available). It's my second, the first being a red '97 that I got when a coworker got banned for a year for going 83 km/h over the limit, on the wrong side of the street, on the access road into work.
Anyway, glad to be here and appreciate all the info I've picked up from the group.
Mike

G'day from Melbourne. If your mate tried that down here, he would be watching his bike being loaded onto the back of a flat bed, and then paying big fines, impound fees and court costs to get it back.

Thanks all for the warm welcome.
Strek - I was raised in Cleveland, a great place to be from, but lived in New Hampshire for much of my adult life. I've been in Alice Springs since '99 and will probably be here for a while longer.

Welcome
What's the riding like in Alice Springs. Do they still have no speed limits on those inland highways?
I guess you miss home?
The 07 blackbird would probably make it all worthwhile since you can't get one over in the US.
Ride safe
