Rode my brand new bird home from the dealer last night - bliss.
I've ridden enduro bikes all my life, but now need something for commuting and touring. I rode a few other sports-tourers, but 500m on the bird clinched the decision!
Looking forward to the first run through the highlands this weekend...

Hi and welcome Nice to get a living sign from NSW, I was in Sydney 2005 on a seminar. The week after I rented a Triumph 955 at Bikescape, Sydney Annandale, for a week and visited Katoomba and other locations. I may return later this year.

| From Massachusetts. Let me ask a question. Do you guys ride on the left side of the road like they do in England or on the right side like they do every where else? I got into a discussion last night with my mum and she said you do. |

Hi from Melbourne.
You are obviously a person of refinement! Someone who knows when they're onto a good thing!
More bliss to come ... stay tuned ...

I've got a friend with a 68 Cadillac, it's weird sitting where the driver should be, but as a passenger. I felt like I should be driving but couldn't find the steering wheel or footpedals . I wonder if America allows right hand drive vehicles on their roads.

Thanks guys, it just gets better every ride!
I was intending to head down through the hills yesterday to meet up with some friends and stretch the legs of the bird on the way. But I left home with half a tank and quickly found out how much it likes the juice when you open it up!
Can't fault the balance and stability at speed though...unbelievable.
And anyone with questions about regular vs premium...huge difference after filling the second tank's worth with the good stuff! Fuel economy has increased dramatically and performance is superb. I know I shouldn't have let that filth touch the bird in the first place, but it sure won't be doing so again.
In all, an extremely fun ride for a 'touring test run'...can't wait for next weekend...
Oh, and I've just returned from living in Europe for a few years...the worst thing I found about driving on the opposite side of the road was hitting the roadworks on the autobahns...120km/h in the tightest lane widths (exactly 2m) without a natural feel for where the other side of the car is...not good for the stress levels.

Birdmanxx,
Right hand drive vehicles are allowed on our roads. The post office delivers mail with them. There is the very rare high end english import that you see ounce in a great while also.
