Hi!

I'm a 17year old boy from Norway! I don't really own a blackbird motorcycle, but in my racecar, a caterham-like car, the engine is from a blackbird (with some serious charging-issues, thats why i registered here )

And a pic, for those interested:

Hello from Australia.
That looks like a hoot
You doing this for fun or are you going further and hoping to line up on the grid at Monza in 2010 in the new McLaren F1 ?

Welcome!

Could be the regulator/rectifier. If you have an early model carbed motor, the r/r was a bit on the small side and would easily overheat. Can be upgraded. Make sure that there is plenty of air flow to the part.

Heh, thnx people

I've measured that it's the stator that's gone, the internal resitance is 0,3ohm between the three cables from the stator. Btw, it's a XX, with the r/r with fins.

@DragonXX: Well, Monza in 2010 would probably be a bit optimistic, but trough the times I've raced on the go-kart team for the Norwegian rally driver Petter Solberg, and some other teams, but I doubt I'll ever reach F1

Welcome from Massachusetts. I have seen one other engine in a car like yours. They work best in a bike though!
