Hi All, I've just joined and hope to be able to help and be helped by other Bird owners. I ride a 09-96 Titanium with a few bolt-on extras like pipes, ohlins, hugger, corbin ect. I bought it with only 2000kms in '98 and basically ride about 3000kms to the Super Bikes or MotoGP and back at Phillip Island once or twice a year ( go the Aussies ) from Sydney or we might do the northern ranges of New South Wales to the Queensland boarder. My favourite rides are the The Putty Rd, N.S.W., Oxley Hwy, N.S.W., The Great Alpine Road, Victoria, The Alpine Way, N.S.W., The Snowy Mountains Hwy, N.S.W. The Murray River Rd, Victoria, from Albury to Tintaldra. If you ever get the chance to do any of roads just go. The Bird was Built with these roads in mind. Good Luck with your all and I hope you enjoy your Bird as much as I've loved mine for the last ten years and it's only just run in. Thanks, Wol

Don't do it during tourist season because it is chockers and saturated with the local constabulary.

Hi Wol,
Another nice day ride in Sydney is the National Park near Heathcote, down the coast road to Wollongong. Can I suggest the Headlands Pub for lunch. Cheap and great quality meals with a magical view.

There's nothing in life that can compare to a blackbird. I sat on a ZX14 when I was buying my blackbird and found it very uncomfortable. If you aren't comfortable over a 30 second trial just imagine what hours of riding would feel like. The blackbird was just right for me.
Welcome. Happy trails!

| from Texas WOL. Always great to see yet another Aussie find their way here. No clue about the roads you mentioned, but if they're admired from the seat of a Bird, I'm sure they're breathtaking. Something magic about the Titaniums, eh? |

G'day Maxx, I think that the titanium is the best of the Bird colours, it has this sort of almost menacing look. I've owned mine for about ten years now and when ever I think of maybe a change, I look to see whats around and can't find anything that does everything so well. It may not be as fast as a Busa or as powerful as the Kwaka but as an overall package it's the best.
