Welcome. Read the threads on fork conversions. I think Busa and RC51s are the forks that swap over. Those and Ohlins, lol.Good Luck. Check The Duck, Gazza, CBBear, maybe Graham, to mention a few.
'02 Bird, Yoshi SS full system, PCIII, Corbin GunfighterLady, Givi hard bags with full lighting system, Goodridge steel lines, HIDs, Pazzo levers, Jaws front suspension + RaceTec GoldValves, fork brace, Penske adj rear, Acumen GI, Heli Bars, Hel oil lines, BattleStep rear sets, Samco red silicon rad hoses. Dyna Coils. Galfer wave rotors.
Before considering a fork change because they look good, consider the practical side.
Fork length - I expect the 1000RR forks will be too short.
Springs - the RR is much lighter on the front end so will need to be changed.
Damping - this will be tuned to the springs and weight transfer - again the RR is much lighter so will need to be changed for the Bird.
It is for these reasons Busa, SP1 (not SP2 they are shorter) ZX12R and ZZR1400 forks have been used, they have the basics correct.
That said a fork change is not a small job (swap out, swap in) and all require some engineeing input and a reasonable cash input - there are always 'extras'. The best thing to do is look at the various conversion threads and see what suits you best.
Oh and by the way![]()
