Newbie from Ontario Canada
Hi ALL,
Name is Patrick from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada. I'm not so new to this site
as I've been here since the latter half of 2011. A proud owner of a '97 Blackbird and simply adore this site. So many Gurus here it's not funny. Example ... I've been able to diagnose and fix my 'bag of marbles' nightmare just from the treads here ... thanks to ALL.
Cheers,
Patrick.

Re: Hello from GTA ... Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada.
It's like déjà vous all over again for me! Bought a 2000 Bird in August 2011 and only problem is the bag of marbles. Bought a CCT from Partsguy in London and all was good after that but I continue to spend money on very, very necessary add ons! (my wife doesn't really agree with that last statement but what does she know?) This is my 5th Honda and, IMO, the best! I live about an hour west of Toronto on the 401 in the big town of Drumbo. All us Ontario boys may have to organize a ride one of these days.

to the Ontario BB ride Dave. When mine was down with the CCT issue (I did not know it at the said time) and had been quoted as much as $2800 to repair it. Man, I tell ya, who can you trust out there with your machine these days eh? Anyway, long story short, I decided to check the WWW, found this site, bought a replacement from AL (Partsguy) but decided to try modifying my old CCT to see if that will work. My engine is still sitting outside of the frame since I decided to remove it to made sure ... that was before getting onto this site.

Re: Hello from GTA ... Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada.
This forum is absolutely the best! I may not have a lot of posts but I am on it almost every day reading and learning and laughing! I would be lost without this site. There isn't a thing I do or think about doing to my Bird without checking here first. If owning a Blackbird is a religion - this is my bible! Lets all keep in touch and maybe post something on the Canadian thread when we get closer to riding season. I am definitely in for a ride!

Dave, I totally agree with what you said. I'm on here daily, having laughs and learning a load of stuff about my machine that even my repair manual does not have. Thanks to ALL you gurus out there

Re: Newbie from Ontario Canada
Hello and welcome to the best site on Blackbirds. I am just a bit north of you by about an hour and also a newbe. Just picked up my Blackbird last week in the US, and brought it back to Canada. Gave it a bit of a short blast out behind my shop in the parking lot on Saturday when it was a bit warmer and drier than it is now. and DAMMMMMMM these things do go. It is going to be a great summer on the bike.
As far as a gathering for Blackbirds, there are some events at Mosport in mid August. ie vintage bike race and the superbike event, which would be a fun time to get all the local and not so local Blackbirds together for a great time. How about it ......any interest out there. I believe there is also a vintage bike event at Shannonville in June which would also be a great time to gather the birds.

Re: Newbie from Ontario Canada
Hey Cam, seems like we have the same taste in machines as I also have a Kawi and Bird. Where abouts are you north of me and what shop do you have? The events you mentioned above sounds like they should be quite a bit of fun. I would like to do so much riding with my bike/s this season that I can't wait for the time to go by. How do you propose we get the Canadian (Ontarian or not) together? I hope that folks like CB from BC might contemplate a gathering of ALL of the Canadian Birds
.

Re: Newbie from Ontario Canada
I live in Barrie. The shop I mentioned is where I work, nothing to do with bikes, just where I get to store my Blackbird as my home garage is filled with the Ninja (which needs some work over winter) and a lot of parts of V30, 45 and V60 Honda that I do sell on eBay and elsewhere when I have time to list them. Have about a hundred bikes that are torn down and parts being sold.
I would love to get a bunch of Blackbird owners together at one of the events. I have a couple of friends in the vintage club which I will talk to. I am sure we cannot race, but they may be OK with us doing a parade lap or two, and maybe putting up a tent or something for the BB owners to gather for a BBQ and brown pops, and such. They may even let us do something with selling t-shirts etc., to help cover some of the costs. Let me check into it and make sure there would be no problems. Give me a couple of days and will start a new thread with some proposed dates. Would be willing to help organize if there were one or two others in the area that could lend a hand with the organizing or such an event.
Keep you posted. You can PM me or send me e-mail at brian@cleanemissions.com anytime with any suggestions. Anyone out there in southern Ontario want to get involved with the organizing?????
Thanks
Brian

Thousand pardons for not using the correct lingo - I meant the Canada Forum! So sorry!
Regardless, can we just focus on converting gasoline into noise!
