Bought a red one yesterday!!
freezing over here in Britain so haven't had decent ride yet. She's a 2000 model with only 10000 miles on the clock( verified ) . Unfortunately been dropped on right hand side so needs a bit of tlc to the paintwork, other than that she's mint for the age.
Just need the fluids changing- bin dry stored for a while. New battery and new tires already fitted. This replaces my VFR 800 which I sold a few months ago. The change is paying for my skiing holiday at easter

Re: Bought a red one yesterday
Welcome and Congratulations! Mine had scars from a drop too when I got her. My son keeps telling me that is just character, but I keep looking at the scrapes and thinking repaint.

Welcome. I traded up from a VFR 800 and never looked back. With a few mods just as agile but way more power. Smooooooth power. Linear power. Vibration free power.

I had to call all my teachers 'Sir' does that apply here 'teacher2'?
Good purchase there, lower mileage Birds are not that common in the UK. As the owner of a near 70K mile '99 plate red Bird (bought in 2000) beware, once these bikes get into your garage you just can't get rid of them

Excellent choice of colour!
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the bike.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

Did the same as Backstreet last year and have no regrets love the bird ... and I bought the one with the fastest color too!
