Buzz...
Greetings from Central Virginia. Looking around the site my question may already be answered but...I was looking for input on a new buzziness in my 03 Bird. It has just under 12k on it and a fresh set of tires (less than 500 miles). Just started noticing some hand and foot buzz after riding today. Tire balance issue, or engine balance, or cam chain? Bike seems to have normal power and acceleration properties. I have owned it for 3 years and have never felt anything but smoothness...Thanks for your input!

Re: Buzz...
Welcome EagleOne. I have a mild vibration as well when around the 100kph (60mph) mark. I imaging it to be fairly normal as it feels like grunt.

Re: Buzz...
New tyres were balanced after they were put on? Hope you get it sorted.

............following p19djg cheap check, have a look at the rear wheel alignment.

Re: Buzz...
Maybe bar ends, or grips or maybe your holding on too tight.

Re: Buzz...
Well folks...I'm gonna bet on tire pressure. Just went out to the shed. Rear was down and front was way down. Unfortunately it's cold, dark and raining so I won't know for sure until I get to fill them up and ride it a bit. Thanks to everyone who replied with helpful suggestions and also for not making me feel too much like an idiot.Eagle

Thanks for replying so that we can all learn from it.
One thing that I am trying at the moment that may interest you are some valve caps from Jaws that give a colour indication as to what pressure is in your tyres. The ones I got are for 42 psi and show green if they are the correct pressure.

As a sidenote on pressures, when I have a new set of tyres fitted I specify the pressures that I want and then when I take the wheels home I check the pressures against the gauge I use in my workshop. The tyre shop I use have their gauges callibrated on a regular baisis so I find this a peace of mind check after I had tyre wear problems ................ both my 'trusty' gauges were reading high so I was under inflating my tyres.

Re: Buzz...
Hello again, got another question for the masses. I am in receipt of a nice set of ThrottleMeister throttle lock from a prior Bird owner. Unfortunately I don't have directions or instructions for installation. Any tips from the experienced are appreciated.
