Alllllrighty, folks, here we go......
Many of you are aware I hosted the first ever HookersXX Gathering in 2005.
The old HookersXX site: http://www.superblackbird.com/hookersxx/
I am in the final planning stages of HookersXX 2007. I am wrapping up some negotiations for a possible Track Day during the 3-Day Gathering.... no promises on that quite yet.
I am not prepared to give out details until the pricing model is written in ink, HOWEVER, for your vaction planning purposes, HookersXX 2007 will be the weekend immediately prior to MotoGP at Leguna Seca... check in Thursday afternoon/evening, July 12, and check out (and head to Monterey!) on Sunday, July 15th.
We will be in Nevada, but not in Reno.... rather, the other end of the state.
More details to follow when I get back on Monday... I'm outta here in a couple hours to go on another LD riding adventure.... if it doesn't snow on my ass! |

Vegas would be fun.. Although I've already made that ride before. Probably wouldn't take the whole previous week like I usually do. Only concern with Vegas in July is the f'n heat.
Now...
If it was North East Nevada... Near Salt Lace City... Might be cooler thanks to the altitude/etc.

No, no, no. It's not cheating if you're out of the area code. Or something like that. Mrs. Flitemdic says the only way it ain't gonna be cheating is if it happens off the planet.

It's their only "country" song, and one line in the chorus goes: "you can't call it cheatin', 'cause she reminds me of you." As the story of the song goes, his (ex)woman apparently wasn't impressed by that argument.

| ...... Nope..... Vegas in mid-July is right toasty.....
But if you're several thousand feet in altitude, it's not too bad... in fact, a light jacket might be needed at night... evenings in the High Desert can often be chilly even in mid-July

Does the High Desert Inn in Elko still take groups? It's right on the end of the "strip" in Elko, and the rooms are nice. That 289 mile straight as an arrow ride to Reno will be a bitch, though. Whatever, I'm just here for the ride.

I am soooo glad this is going to happen. I was worried there might not be a west coast meeting, but Vegas would be awesome. In any case, I'm putting the date down no matter where it is.

If I were to go, I would pass through Kansas, but that would be an ass-kicking trip for me. |
