Trust me... If I can get the logistics right... I'll swing by and pick you up... I know of some delicious ways to get from Utah to Montrose. As for you CO guys... Montrose was always my favorite base of operations when I would hit the western part of the state... The Best Western Red Arrow is my favorite hotel in town. Very motorcycle friendly, nice rooms, Jacuzzi and pool. It's within walking distance to restaurants, bars and the movie theater.

Paully!

Don't worry about a place to sleep just get your ass to Ely.

My room can be a Flop House for anyone for all I care. Rich and Rob won't be a problem as I'll have them gagged and tied to the bed.

+1 on the Montrose area and the Red Arrow. I stayed there twice when attending Triumph Sprint rallies in 2001 and 2002. Good folks
running the motel and, as stated, M/C friendly. They put out old towels and a hose every afternoon so the bikes could be washed.

Loved riding in the Montrose area, especially the road up and over Grand Mesa.

And I'll bet we met too!!! I can't remember whether it was '01 or '02, but I was staying there during one of those rallies... But I was riding my '00 Bandit at the time.

Were you with the Sprint group or just happen to be there at the same time? I have a vague recollection of someone on a Bandit,
buy my memory is suspect these days (senior moments...). I have a picture from the 2001 meet in which all the bikes were lined
up, even non-Sprints, so if you were with the group that year, I expect your bike would have been in the shot, but it's not there,
so perhaps you were there in 2002. I don't have any group bike pics from the 2002 meet, however.

I wasn't there with the group. I was just out and about and happened to be in Montrose at the same time...

TRAGEDY!!!!!

The huge 2-week setback caused by the bicep injury has made one thing quite clear: there is no conceivable way I can now do all the things I need to do (given the remaining number of weeks of summer), without something giving.

Sadly, for me, it looks like it will have to give up HookersXX this year.

I can't make it all work..... the two-week delay while we examined/diagnosed the injury really threw a serious wrench in the works.... there is, at this point, not enough available time off for me on the books that mates up with a 3-day weekend, etc, etc. I would have to cut into IBR Rally vacation time to attend Hookers, and I got formal IBR Staff duties to perform at the Start Line, so...

Sorry, dudes.....

I got a PM into Involute to see if he'll be the POC for our Sales Rep at the Hotel Nevada.... "Margie" is her name, and she'll likely require a name to act as some kind of POC for the group.....

A major development. Looks like I'll need to make a trip to Tri-town to meet you sometime this summer.

Heal quickly, heal strong.

So I wont be the only injury no show.
Ive had my Bird less than a year and was really looking foreward to this ride.
I had my quaracep tendon surgically reattatched to my knee 6 weeks ago.
The bike is ready but Im not. I put Buell pegs on it and squeezed into the saddle and went for a short ride the other day. Very uncomfortable. I am not ready. SHIT.
Looks like next year. Post pics.
