I think you should take Yahoos route as it's on 803. I'm in the same boat, I will be doing Ely to Seattle on Sunday. It will be a long day!

Say... I would like all you PNWers to think about possible routes I could take back to Boise via NoCal,OR and WA... The only caveat is I have to be back by late Wednesday night (7/18) or early Thursday morning (7/19) 'cuz I have to get my Ex onto a plane back to Denver. Other that Ely, about all I have "planned" is that I would like to take Route 50 west, since it's YEARS since I hit that stretch of road. Other than that, I'm open to suggestions.
So think about it and I'll have my maps and highlighters...

Lucky for us, the wife and don't need to be back until Sat the 21st. We'll be heading to Tahoe on Sunday, Yosemite on Monday, Angel's Camp on Tuesday, somewhere in the Sierra Nevadas on Wednesday (possibly up to Shasta), then a few DAYS to travel through Oregon. We'll be doing lots of touristy type picture stops and trendy bistro lunches here and there!! Anyone is welcome to join us for part or all of this trip!!

I plan on staying through sunday night and then heading home, so I'm curious if there will be scheduled activities sunday or if I should just plan on hanging out at the Stardust Ranch until my money runs out.
| There's always gambling and drinkin'..... it is Nevada, after all.... |

I didn't think there was any question about that.
Besides Chris isn't going so I can run her in fifth gear and still post the highest speed.

Just got a room count from the Sales lady I have been working with at Ely.... a total of 22 rooms have been reserved, and many of those are doubled-up occupancy. So that's a good 30-35 folks right there.... |
