Pretty cool article, and fairly on the money except for thinking that the ThunderAce would be the BB's main rival. Interesting.

... managed to engineer some excitement out of the powerplant...

I certainly hope that Honda will have a replacement. This article almost made me giddy thinking about reading on a NEW Bird. I also hope they put more excitement back in. No funky VTEC or exhaust valve, but maybe a Kompressor??!

The powerplant deliveres very smooth and "predictable" power all the way, but if someone tells you that the XX is dull - they're a liar and a complete dumbass.. If you ask me, the XX allready has plenty of grunt - no need for a compressor. Less weight, sporty and adjustable springs, more ground clearance would do the trick. But hey, then you might as well buy a CBR1000RR..!
