97-98 were carb'd, and we don't have a manual for those available at this time.

The only adjustment you can make is to the rear shock, and those instructions are in the owner's manual that comes with the bike.

Right where the muffler ends, near the side stand you will see a fairly large triangular piece of metal on the sidestand side of the bike. Just behind that is the adjustment for the rear shock. You have 3 settings. All the way clockwise is the stiffest setting.

Hey Conqsoft thanks for the manual, I've downloaded it (and used it) it's awesome. Any idea where I can pick up a hard copy? It doesn't say if it's clymer or haynes so I can google it, that I have seen. Thanks.
edit: Actually, upon second glance, I noticed there was a part# on the cover. This is the actual service manual. Niiiice. Also I googled it and found it here: Helm Incorporated: Product
My bad.

Seems that I was wrong about manual. I've got manual for "99+ model, but I was sure it was for 97-98 model. Sorry guys, I really wanted to upload it, I've called one friend home to show me how to do it, and guess what happens next: I've got 8-10 GB of manuals for japanese, italian, german, american, british & other bikes & cars, but NOOOOOOOOO 97-98 BB manual.
