I see some of the Honda dealers have new '07 CB 900F's for sale at a good price. Being an older man of a certain age, and tired of looking for a Bird in my area, I thought about this bike. Light weight, over 100 HP, good ergos, so what's wrong with it and why are there so many for sale?
TIA
Knobby

| Maybe it's the newer, improved version - CB1000 which is expected to be the big seller so they're trying to get back some money on the older model before everyone decides they prefer the newer one? www.honda cb1000 - Google Image Search

I had a 919 before the XX. It was a great bike. It is often overlooked by buyers for some reason... It is a lot of bike for the money.

I owned a 94 CB1000 and love everything about it but became bland after a year of riding it. That may be what is wrong with it. If you are looking for a Blackbird be patient and get you one. Don't buy something because of a good price or you will probably do what I did.......
Bought a 94 CB1000.....sold it a year later
Bought a 01 FZ1..........sold it a year later
Bought a 02 Blackbird.......This is the bike I was actually wanting and will be keeping her for some time.
Take my advice... if you are wanting a Bird.......wait and get you one.

Knobby | If you really want a Bird don't let these minor hurdles become a deterrent. The extra effort to acquire one of these bikes will be justified in the end. When I finally found one that I could afford, it was 800 miles away. Stick with "Plan-A" and you want regret it. These bikes are impressive!

If you don't get a Bird, "do not pass go and go directly to jail". Be patient, you won't be sorry. Note, BeyondWacko's for sale thread. Nice Bird, good price. Perfect opportunity for a road trip. Fly and ride.
What the Hell does, "being an older man of a certain age" mean? Maybe you just need a little dog to go walking with.

Ah yes, the Hornet 900. Good bike, motor lifted from the CBR900RR with fuel injection and that urban funk/standard style.

there is nothing wrong with the 919s they are great bikes. the dont sell as well here in the states as honda would like them to which is why alot of dealers often have leftovers that they are willing to deal on. the only thing that stopped myself from getting one over my 600rr for my street bike was the fact that they didnt have inverted forks and i tend to do some aggressive riding from time to time.

Mainly it had less power that what was expected of it,the motor is detuned from the 900rr,and the FZ1 won out in every magazine comparison.Other than the fact it has no wind protection(small screens are available) it's a good bike,no worries.
