i was forced to move to denver for a few months for work, left my bird back in el paso...
so i bought an old 76 cb550 four to tinker with and ride around.

this is how it was when i bought it. it was running rough. rebuilt the carbs, had to buy new jets and and stuff, had to get some o-rings for the intake manifold because it had an air leak, adjusted the valves and whatnot. got it running good, it'll cruise at 80 all day, rides really solid.

this is how it is now, i took the pics with my phone, so they're not too great...
i put on the clubman bars with bar end mirrors, has an aggressive look. removed that big chrome rear fender and made a mount for the LED tail light, and put on those turn signals. got a new seat cover, WAY better.
for some stupid reason the previous owner cut the wires in the turnsignal switch. it was a pain soldiering em back together. but i got em workin.
there' still alot to do. i'm gonna get it painted and polish up all the parts i can. it sure is a fun little project.
