i was forced to move to denver for a few months for work, left my bird back in el paso... so i bought an old 76 cb550 four to tinker with and ride around. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f6...e/DSC01466.jpg this is how it was when i bought it. it was running rough. rebuilt the carbs, had to buy new jets and and stuff, had to get some o-rings for the intake manifold because it had an air leak, adjusted the valves and whatnot. got it running good, it'll cruise at 80 all day, rides really solid.  http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f6..._IMAGE_038.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f6..._IMAGE_029.jpg this is how it is now, i took the pics with my phone, so they're not too great... i put on the clubman bars with bar end mirrors, has an aggressive look. removed that big chrome rear fender and made a mount for the LED tail light, and put on those turn signals. got a new seat cover, WAY better. for some stupid reason the previous owner cut the wires in the turnsignal switch. it was a pain soldiering em back together. but i got em workin. there' still alot to do. i'm gonna get it painted and polish up all the parts i can. it sure is a fun little project.  | ||
