I have had my 'bird since March of '07 and have been trying to meet up with some fellow 'bird riders in the Chicagoland area ever since. I rode in the Chicagoland "ride for kids" rally yesterday and finally met two fellow 'bird riders. Both bikes were red '01 'birds. I met with Dan from Aurora and he had no idea about this site, so I told him all about it. Then I met with Will from Oswego that works for Fox Valley Cycles in Aurora. Dan used to own Will's bike at one time, traded for a Goldwing, then missed the 'bird too much and found another just like it. Will knew of this site but doesn't have alot of time to check out the site, but will try. Dan will check out the site as well and hopefully post up. It was nice to chat with these guys for the short time that we did. Would like to meet up with more 'bird riders in the Chicago area hopefully soon. Maybe get a Chicagoland 'bird riders only party somewhere sometime. What do you think Chicagoland 'birdies??? Cheers.

XXNUTZ I would like to do that and have been watching your ride posts. My riding windows are somewhat limited but I would like to get together for a ride at some point.

I got to meet a couple more 'bird riders tonight. I met Troy who has a '00 Titanium 'bird with beetle bags. He posts up on the 1100xx.org site. Then my ridin' buddy spotted another one close by and that was Joe with a '99 black 'bird that was stretched and slammed. Again, it's nice to finally meet more 'bird riders. All of us met up at Portillo's on Rt. 83 in Elmhurst, south of North Ave. where alot of bikes hang out every Wed. night weather permitting. Hope to meet up with more soon. Cheers. P.S. Strek, I posted a car/bike show on Aug. 23rd. at my school, maybe a good meeting place for us or some kind of a ride??

XXNUTZ. I saw that. I believe that I have a birthday party to go to that day. Let me check on that. Do you do the Portillos run often?

There are plenty of riders in around Chicago and Milwaukee split between both forums. Check out the ride section on the other forum once in awhile and you may get lucky.

Seeing other 'Birds where I live is extremely rare. I've seen only a couple in the last few years and never got a chance to talk to them.
I've gone up to FUXXT in the Brooksville, FL area with a bunch of forum members and that was nice. Can't wait to get the 'Bird fixed so I can do it again.

I've only seen one other bird - a black '97 - and I passed on it to buy my Speed Triple. I'm actually glad I waited and bought the '02 through a friend of a friend.
