Has anyone every had a snake fall out of the sky and almost hit
them. No jokes here. It happened to me one day. A Hawk came down
on my side of the road (right) caught a snake about a footer. I
guess the bike scared him he droped the thing ten feet in front of me from about 15 feet in the air. Then I start thinking. If I was going 5mph faster
he could have drop shipped the thing right on the back of my neck.
I started thinking that I didn't have enought eye to ride any more.
The spaces to scan and plan are bigger all the time.

Ya know (tilts head, squints left eye, and places hands on hips), I've never seen a snake here in New York City! I guess there's just as many different things to look out for in the more rural parts of the country as it is in the city!

Yep they are all out for us on some days.
How about a hub cap off a yellow taxi?
They have be flying around somewhere in town. Some cabs have em
and some don't. Well thanks for reply and if you see a snake kill it.
That is one less a bird can drop on you if he gets the chance!!
Hey if everyone wasn't out to get me I wouldn't be paranoid.

Never had to dodge a snake but I did get hit in the chest by a bird. Luckly it was only a dove and i wasn't going that fast. Felt like getting hit with a baseball.

I have been hit several times by galahs ( cockatoo type parrot but different colour ). I've had some close calls with kangaroos, foxes, echidnas, wombats, blackbirds.....( the feathered variety ) and even a few wild brumbies. I ride a lot in the Snowy Mountains ( Kosciuzko National Park ) and encounter these animals often. We have some pain in the arse native animals here thats for sure....The worst by far are the roos. They are dumb and will stand there and jump at you rather than hop away. Wombats are like hitting a large stone. I have hit one in a car years ago and it ripped the left wheel completely off. Havent hit a brumby and dont want to either.

VERY interesting. Don't those animals know a Blackbird coming thru when they see one?!?
