i know everyone riding has been hit by bugs, rain, rocks and dirt. But has any one been stung by a bee while riding i was hit by what i thought was a large black rock, i was thinking at 60 mph i got hit pretty good. then my arm starting hurting i said well maybe it was a cigar and my arm was burning. pulled over looked at it then rode the rest of the way home with a stinging arm. Looked at my arm when i got home it started swelling so i knew it was a sting.

Been hit by most on your poll. Also got a hornet sting down the front of my chest in a similar fashion.

Yea been stung by a bee before, also I managed to eat a butterfly while rideing. And even though you see alot of people eating them I strongly suggest not to. it made my lower lip fat and tasted like shit the whole way home.

Caught a wasp in a full face with no shield once. Stung me on the ear 3 or 4 times before I could get to the side of the road and snatch off the helmet.
I'm sure that from a distance it looked comical.

Been hit with rocks mostly chasing my buddies around but recently took out a bird about a month ago. The bird hit my left hand and made his last flight from there. Still hurt even with my gloves on.
Been stung across my neck from a wasp. I guess the wind and the stinger made out a long red strak across my neck.

I also evel kneviled over a dead deer once on my cb1000. busted up my chin fairing jumping over it. It was during the night and I was following a little too close behind a car. The car just stratled over over it not slowing with no braking and I of course was riding in the middle of the lane. Needless to say I was pulling my underwear out of the crack of my ass for some time afterwards.

A friend of mines cousin hit a deer with his fzr1000 doing about 120. went right through the deer and kept rideing. I wouldnt have beleaved it if I wasnt at the house he pulled up to right after it happend. boy that was gross. and he walked away with only a broken ankle.

I've hit a cicada at 120kph. Had the visor up and it hit my sunnies and cheek... "Gargoyles, sunglasses that can stop a bullet. Can't be good news for the insect world." They lived up to the ad that day, I can still see! Hurt like hell though, on the cheek.

Hail hurts at 100. 'nuff said.

Favourite for freaking out arachniphobes... Had a huntsman* walk across in front of my face on the way to work one day. Inside my visor, across the sunnies... Fortunately, I'm NOT an arachniphobe!

* Sort of like a local tarantula, legs can get to about a handspan, but generally harmless.

Dang... I didn't know y'all had Cicadas in Australia.
They get really bad here every 10 years or so, and it's a bummer riding when they're swarming everywhere. The last time they were really bad was in the summer of 2000 (I think). But I learned a cool trick that year on how to deal with them (somewhat). Cicadas can't hover, y'know. So, picture this...
You're riding around and these damned things are crossing left, right, up, down and every which angle in front of you. As soon as you see one that looks like it isn't moving, DUCK, because it's heading straight at you. You have to be quick but you can miss a good percentage of 'em that way. After a while it becomes instinct.
And then... If you're carring a passenger man, they better have their face shield down or they're gonna get it smack in the kisser! I could hear them bastards hitting her face shield! I was laughing so hard I had to pull over!
Especially after she started punching me in the ribs.

Here in Illinois we have June bugs, cought one on the cheek bone one day. Felt like Mike Tyson sucker punched me. A friend of mine caught a bird in the chest and damn near knocked him off his bike doing 65 mph. Anything that you happen to catch while riding just plain sucks. But if you don't have some kind of wear and tear on ya, you ain't ridin'. Cheers.

June bugs. Yes. I was on a trip down to Branson MO once on my bike. Running through the evening and early night. Darn things were smacking off of me left and right. Got to the hotel and take the jacket off. Had about 9-10 of those suckers some still alive on the inside of my jacket along with some that had smashed and turned to goo on my shirt. Gross.

Copped a magpie just below the knee at 120kmh+ Took quite a while to be able to walk free again.

Bugs and butterflies in the neck are quite common.

3ft length of tree branch flicked up by a car broke 3 toes about 20 years ago - glad it "only" hit my foot.

Was visiting a friend some years back. Rode over on my trail bike. Something hit me near the top of my chest. Got to my friends house, all well. Went inside and sat down to chat. Next thing I was up and jumping all over the place like a "mad woman shi--ing". A wasp had hit me and fallen down my shirt. Must have stung me 6-7 times. My friend was just about rolling around the floor in laughter. Said he had never seen anything so funny. What are friends for ?

Also another close one. I was out riding my GSXR1100 in far north Queensland. Saw what I thought was a fallen branch on the side of the road on a small bend. As I leaned out and around it, it reared up and struck out at the bike. It was a Red Bellied Black Snake. Those Mothers are fearsome.
