Following on from the intro for the 6'8" Denver 'Bird, I'd like to know what the average height is for the 'Bird jockeys throughout the planet ?
And what sort of mods you have made to make life a little more comfy ?
I am average ... 5'11" and bike is stock with intentions of bar risers !

I am 5' 9" and considering some bar risers in the future. My Bird fits me pretty good right now.

6' even, & I've done the 6mm shim. Can't afford Penske or Ohlins right now, but it's on the list.

I'm six eight also. I just bought my bbird, it came with heli bars and a corbin seat. I think I am wanting to go back to the stock bars at least. I feel like I am sitting too straight up. I will have to figure it out over the next few rides.

Maybe we can buy a couple of sets cheaper ?
Cheers

I'm 6'2", and about the same around the waist. Don't need any taller bars, my guts on the tank keep the weight off my wrists . My feet are comfortably flat on the ground with bent knees, so I should be right when I put the shim in.

6'0".
Problem is I'm all middle - 30" inseam - and relatively short armed, so it's a long reach down to the bars.
Convertibars are going to be a big improvement, installing them next week while the bike's apart for paint. Also have the MRA Vario screen on order to compliment them.
Can't wait for the snow to clear so I can try them out!

I'm 6'4" with about a 35" inseam. I've probably done too many mods to list but I installed the Buell footpegs and the extra leg room is great. I installed VFR bars a few weeks ago not for a shorter reach but I have back problems and wanted to try a little more upright position. So far I really like them. Everybody should try that 6mm shim.
I searched everywhere for the VFR bars, sometimes they pop up on the VFR forum but I grabbed a brand new set on Ebay for under $50 shipped.
Suspension upgrades are next on my list...

5' 10" ~75-80kg. Went for VFR bars & have a shim. Toes on the ground usually, or 1 foot flat. Can just manage both feet flat on the ground, but not comfortably. Oh yes, that is with either the G&L or OEM seat.

6'2" - GenMar Risers on the way.
I've found that through the twisties my wrists are fine. The long, straight roads give me grief, usually the throttle side.
I'm hoping the risers will help a little more than the Grip Puppies do.

Mine extends from years of abuse as an IT Network nerd. Standing up at desktops and using the mouse really cramps the wrist - it finally has taken it's toll - (NO - its not from personal abuse - thanks!! )

5'-11" and I just raised the stock clip-ons a 1/4" (it is posted here how to do this and some dont recommend it) and Buell footpegs. A warning the about the Buell footpegs that I havent read here is that your toes become the drag warning and not the peg thingy on the bottom! Otherwise the legroom they provide is great. And I'm not a pro at leaning over either.

6'6" and the mods done are buell pegs for extra leg room. Bar risers to be more upright. 6mm shim on the rear shock. Customed fitted seat lowered about an inch. and A GIVI tall screen to stop buffeting. and thats only for touring.
Other mods - single seat is stock, carbon cans,Stealth wavy discs, Vista control, Heated grips ( well is gets cold in Scotland) wing rack colour matched to the bike oh and the autocom system for some sounds

5'10" at 190 with an all stock bike. No problems at this time, seems it comes down to proper riding position. I read some threads and they cured me from going down that road to spending lots money on bar risers, seat, pegs. |

I'm 6'1" and a few biscuits shy of 350lbs. I love my Bird for about the the first 100 miles then my feet and knees heat up so bad I got to stop and take a walk. I'm only good for 50 mile runs after that. I've got to stop and strech or I'll numb up so bad I can't feel my toes.

I am 5 foot six (170cm) with an inside leg length of 80cm and weigh *cough* 90odd kilos.
The mods I have already done to the bird with relation to height are jaws bar risers and (in contrast) the 6 mm suspension shim that raises the seat height
Still, no trouble settling at stops as the balls of my feet still reach the ground

Before spending money on risers or other bars, try sliding the clipons up the fork tubes, making the top edge of the clipon even the fork tube cap or even a little higher. This small adjustment makes a fair amount of difference and it's free.

I'm 6'1". 230 lbs. I get numb, achy hands on long rides. I just ordered a set of heli bars for myself. I looked all over EBAY for VFR, or used heli bars but no luck. I guess timing is everything.
