Jesus Randy!

Sorry to hear about it. I was looking forward to you being another RC51 front end convert. Let us know if we can help in any way.

Ken

You know, Randy, despite the fact that I've ridden more with you on the RC-51 than on the Bird, this incident/post has really struck a bad chord for me. Wish there were some way to turn back time and tie the ****er down, or help you get the damn thing fixed, or at least arrange for that well racked spinner and sticky fattie so you'd say "F#@% it, no matter what, the Bird's gotta be fixed". Damn it!!

BTW, I'm a little confused about the horror sequence. Are you saying that as you found her lying on the ground, the case was ok? But that you turned on the ignition switch, and when you did that, the damaged starter switch resulted in a closed circuit, so you WATCHED the damn thing wind up the chain and break the case?!?!?? If so, that's just too ****ed up to bear, and if so, I understand your initial question -- BTW, the gun goes in the mouth, not under the chin. I think I'd have PTSD over that if I didn't pull the trigger, or missed.

LOL Your funny bud!

And Not exactly but close! The handle bar was snapped off and hanging on the edge of the fairing, I was on the left side when I turned the key on, the button was depressed on the edge or side of the fairing. All I heard was something I hadn't heard in years and years. I knew exactly what it was. The engine froze. Metal was flying out of the side. The chain was locked into the broken case edges!! I put the pitbull under the rear and went inside to drink a beer and breath! I didn't have to look.
