I rode the Blackbird up to Tulsa so it can be stored while I am in Hondo for the next year. The weather down in Killeen, Tx. had been great all week so friday I struck out at around 10 am in a mesh jacket, jeans and gloves. The first 200 miles went great and I pulled my jacket off in Dallas and threw it into the car my wife was following me in. Around Denton Tx. it went to T-total sh!t. It got cold I wanted to make it into OK before I pulled over for fuel to get my jacket. Once it got dark it started to sleet and I was still over 150 miles out. Needless to say I was miserable when we got here. I guess I waas pretty close to the first stages of hypothermia. I did knock out my first trip over 300 miles in a sitting. Next time I will double check the weather for my destination.

Living in Tulsa I can say thats a ride worthy of note.
The freezing rain that took down about every tree I own on my 2 acres.
and you rode in that!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?
I wished I'd have known as I'd have trailered down and met you. Good luck and my prayers are with you and your unit! Hooah!

Glad you made it brother..being on a bike makes us so vunerable to weather changes-even a couple of degrees makes a huge difference.
